Simon Frost
President
Simon and his wife Nina are the parents of Annabel, who has AHC, and Clara, her older Sister. Simon serves as the Chief Financial Officer at the Greencourt Group. He has spent most of his career in real estate investment, operations, and development. Simon holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from Cambridge University in the UK, and a Bachelor’s in Finance from the University of South Africa. He also holds an active CPA license in Washington D.C.
Maria Chroneos
Chief of Staff
A member of The Johns Hopkins University Class of 2018, Maria studies Cognitive Science and French. Maria is also an active member of the JHU chapter of Active Minds, and she currently serves as the treasurer of the Orthodox Christian Fellowship, and as a Public Relations chair of her school’s Global Medical Brigades chapter. In addition, she works as a research assistant in the Johns Hopkins Lab for Child Development, where she studies the origins of math anxiety, and she interns in the Penn State Hershey Medical Center Department of Neurosurgery NMR Lab, where she studies the role of iron in the etiology of Alzheimer’s disease. Her friendship with AHC champion Koryn (PA, USA) has fueled her deep interest in the brain; in particular, the manifestation of all manners of neurological, neurodevelopmental, and neurodegenerative conditions. Among her future goals, Maria plans to pursue an MD/PhD, and subsequently a career as a physician scientist dedicated to serving and improving the lives of others, including those with AHC.
Mike Mullen

Mike has been an auditor for the Department of Defense for the past ten years and holds an active CPA license through the Commonwealth of Virginia. Mike and his wife Katie currently reside in upstate New York and are proud parents to AHC Champion Mandy and her older sister, Nora. Mike received his bachelors degree in Accounting from Liberty University.
Corie Simpson
Vice President - Fundraising
Corie has been a dedicated member of the Cure AHC board since 2019. She and her husband, Josh, live in Connecticut with their two sons, Tyler and Cameron. Cameron was diagnosed with AHC at 6 months old, he is now 9 years old. He loves school, spending time with his family, being silly, and watching movies.
Corie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy. She has been a part of fundraising efforts for Cure AHC, organizing events, leading awareness campaigns, and providing support to AHC families. These efforts have helped raise funds for research and crisis assistance. She is dedicated to supporting AHC families, raising awareness, and helping raise funds in pursuit of better treatments and a cure for all those with AHC.
Bill Krenn
vice pResident - Communications
Bill is a mental health professional at Magellan Health and father of four, the oldest of which has AHC. His daughter Emory was diagnosed just after her 1st birthday. Bill and his family held the Hope for Emory walk for several years, and Bill has previously served Cure AHC as Vice President. He remains excited about participating in the AHC community in new ways. Bill’s interests include chasing his children around, learning new things and child development, especially the impact of early childhood trauma.
Mary Saladino
Vice President - Research
Mary, her husband Anthony, and their baby Henry (12 mos) live in the Boston area. Henry was diagnosed with AHC at 9 weeks old and his family feels fortunate to have connected with the AHC community and doctors early on in their journey. Mary is a high school assistant principal and former high school English teacher. Mary holds an undergraduate degree in English & Secondary Education from Villanova University and a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Stanford University. In between her studies, Mary spent time teaching ESL at a high school in Indonesia for a year on a Fulbright grant. Mary is passionate about learning and participating in the search for potential treatments and cures for AHC. Mary and Anthony hope for a life free of the day-to-day implications of AHC for Henry one day soon.
Izzie Duval
VICE PRESIDENT - PATIENT AND FAMILY SUPPORT
Izzie is mom to Dallas, a 6 year old girl with AHC and Hemiplegic Migraine. Izzie is passionate about supporting families with AHC and related disorders.
Izzie began her career as an acclaimed musical theater actor and singer in Kansas City in 2009, working for professional theaters such as The Kansas City Repertory Theater, The Coterie Theater, Musical Theater Heritage and more. Izzie has also been a performing arts educator and youth theater director/choreographer for over 20 years, working with kids of all ages. Izzie has her BFA in Theater Performance from Stephens College and in 2017 she entered into Avila University’s Masters of Education program to gain certification to teach Secondary Theater & Speech. After Dallas’ AHC diagnosis, Izzie became Dallas’ full time caregiver and learned everything she could about the disease from research articles and other parents.
In 2024, Izzie was a part of a massive effort to save the life of 3-year-old Julia Abu Zaiter, a Palestinian child with AHC who was deteriorating amidst the war in Gaza, alongside Simon Frost, Cure AHC, and PCRF. This formative experience helped Izzie to realize the power of global patient advocacy and she decided to join Cure AHC as the VP of Patient & Family Support.
Izzie has attended the Global Genes Rare Advocacy Summit, ATP1A3 Summit (virtual), and Global Advocacy Exchange trainings. Izzie is passionate about helping families all over the world with AHC and ATP1A3-related disorders, patient advocacy, and the power of community.
In her limited free time, Izzie loves to engage with the theater community, both on stage and off, sing, read, write, spend time outdoors, and going on adventures with Dallas, her husband Matt, and their Australian shepherd Hero.
Hannah Zimmer
VICE PRESIDENT - SOCIAL MEDIA AND COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT
Hannah is the mother of Archie, who was diagnosed with AHC at just five months old, and his big brother Hudson. With over a decade of experience in marketing and graphic design, Hannah brings creativity, strategy, and heart to every project. She currently manages social media and branding for several local businesses across Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Passionate about advocacy and storytelling, Hannah uses her skills to raise awareness for AHC and support other families navigating rare disease diagnoses.
Stephen Henderson
Board member
Stephen joined the board of Cure AHC in 2024. Stephen serves as the Director of Learning and Development at OpenLoop Health. He spent most of his career in education, teaching and leading in grades ranging from elementary to graduate school. He holds a BA in secondary education, an MA in History, an MA in school administration, and a doctorate in educational
Satish Srinivas
Board member
Satish is an ICT consultant and Chartered Engineer. He has 15 years of experience in Software Engineering, Project Management, Techno marketing, Field Trial Management and Boot strapping startups in government and Multinational companies. He is a graduate in Computer Science and Engineering, MBA (Information Systems) and Diploma in Quality Management. His wife, Meena is a graduate in Bio-Chemistry and holds a PG Diploma in Medical Laboratory technology and an MBA specialized in International Business. Currently she takes care of their 2 kids full time as a home maker. His eldest daughter is in her 4th grade. His younger Champion Hari, who is 3 years old, was diagnosed with AHC at the age of 1. He has delays in developmental milestones like gross/fine/cognitive/speech skills. Beware, he has a contagious smile.
Tony Peña
Board Member Emeritus
Tony is a recent retiree of Citibank, NA where he spent 45 years in various Client Service and Operations groups. Most recently he was VP of Customer Service within the Commercial NYC Banking Division. Tony obtained his Bachelor’s degree from Fordham University, NY. He is the father of fellow Cure AHC Board Member Andrew Pena, and the grandfather of AHC Champion James (MA, USA). He lives with his wife, Anita in Nutley, NJ.
